Reflection on Parenting
Discovering that I could have parented better is something that still bothers me when I think about it. I can see now what I could have done and how I could have done that to have a better outcome.
Then upon reflection, I see that whatever we did, helped give our children a springboard so that they could have a stronger base, and that calms me somewhat. If I could go back, I would definitely insist on a consistency in teaching them about faith and God. That is the one thing that I would ask to do over if I had an opportunity to do it over. We planted seeds, but needed to continue nurturing them so that they would germinate and blossom. I have hopes that they will blossom in their own lives and as they raise their children.
